I attended EE Global the past two days, and today’s surprise was the unannounced speech by Secretary Moniz. While the Secretary’s first speech was at an Energy Efficiency conference and he declared his intention to move it “way, way up” on the Department’s agenda. I would not read into the comments that DoE will depart from the successful renewable energy deployment we saw under President Obama’s first term. However, it is imperative that the solar industry does not ignore the obvious move by Sec. Moniz and making his coming out speech at EE Global.
