For the past two weeks, I have been trying to put solar in some political perspective. While a complicated loop, solar is playing a central role in Middle Eastern and Eastern European relations. President Obama was in Saudi Arabia over the weekend, which last week threatened Qatar with a naval blockage. Qatar, as you recall, is 30% owner in SolarWorld, the plaintiff in the US solar trade complaint.
