In Government we often hear “You hear about our failures but not our successes.” The opposite is true in issue advocacy, whereas the blame in failures is always that of the politician that wouldn’t do the right thing. Timing is another excuse we often hear about. The key in politics (DC in particular) is that you have those that win and those that don’t. Look at the crazy stuff that Congress passes, and tell me that happens because they had a more convincing grassroots. More (much more) on this to come soon.
