Today’s thank you goes to each contributor to the solar industry.  If you have written an article or are a consistent contributor, then thank you for helping spread the solar word.  A special thank you to contributors from inside the private sector, there are too few writers putting out content that helps advance the solar industry with insider knowledge and experiences.

A short week with the holidays coming up to close out November.  As we enter the week of Thanksgiving let’s give thanks for a different segment each day this week.  Today, let us say thank you to the small group of solar professionals working on policy.  Their work helps business happen which pays all of our bills.  Too many groups to name but with State by State battles and ITC talks coming up, help trade groups by becoming a member or hire a policy wonk internally if you can.  They are always appreciated!

A couple of interesting notes about the pending attack on net metering.  One utility exec mentioned at the solar summit this week that “net metering is here to stay”, so the question remains, What does a utility execs version of net metering look like?  Net metering is the policy that makes distributed solar energy work, and we have to fight to keep our access to the grid strong.
